R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts” charity single has raised over $1 million for Haiti and has eclipsed the 500,000 mark for sales according to reports. “Everybody Hurts” has also been the number one single in the UK for two weeks running. Proceeds from the single are being split 50/50 between Disaster Emergency Committee & The Sun’s Helping Haiti Appeal.
