This just in from Athens filmmaker James Ponsoldt (old story here) — he’s co-authored a graphic novel, “Refresh Refresh” — it started as one of the Best American Short Stories of 2006, written by Benjamin Percy. Ponsoldt, a longtime friend of Percy, made it into a script for a film (I think I remember him mentioning it during that interview way back) now in development, and Danica Novgorodoff has made it into a graphic novel. The story follows three young men in Central Oregon whose fathers are in Iraq.
The book is available in bookstores and on amazon today. More to come, but in the meantime, here are a couple of articles about it on Newsarama and Comic Book Resources News.
