Eyewitness account of crash via Bob Brussack →
athensview: Roofer Donnie Polly witnessed the crash this morning of a single-engine aircraft in a neighborhood of modest residences off Barnett Shoals Road near the Carmike Cinemas. Apparently no one on the ground was hurt. The two persons aboard the aircraft are said to have perished.
