Horoscopes return Monday
The decision to discontinue them was not at all mine; in the increasing squeeze o’ space in the Living section, it was just a matter of figuring out how to fit two pages of comics/games into one and a half pages.
What’s disheartening is the number of phone calls we get for changes to the comics page (we had to discontinue a number of comics because of costs as well). Readers seem to...
Rock 'n' Roll Ringing in My Ears
I mean that literally.
There are plans and then there’s what happens. My brain is rattled and my voice is hoarse. I have a low-grade headache and a nap is in my immediate future.

Flagpole Athens Music Awards tonight
Tonight is one of my favorite events of AthFest, the Flagpole Athens Music Awards. Aside from the general raucous revelry that ensues in cramming umpteen rock bands and their closest fans/friends under one roof for the evening, the lineup of musicians playing the show spans all genres and showcases the huge, huge wealth of talent in Athens — all that in one of Athens’ truly loveliest venues, the...
